Tanamakoon is situated 25km. inside the West Gates of Algonquin Park on Hwy 60. The trip is three hours from Toronto and cars may be parked at the Cache Lake Landing. For those traveling by plane or bus, transportation to our site can be arranged from Toronto Airport or the Huntsville train/bus station.
Senior adults live in heated cabins by the lake. Accommodation can be booked for single, double or group. The on site terrain is a combination of gravel roads and wooded walking trails.
Other site features include a tennis court, canoes, paddleboats, kayaks and walking trails. There are several buildings that are set up for relaxing and recreational use.
Delicious home-style meals and snacks are served in our dinning hall. Our chefs can accommodate most dietary concerns and resulting menu changes.
Algonquin Park provides many attractions for the public. There is time built into our program to see the Visitors Centre and The Logging Exhibit or to visit some of the historical sites in the Park.
