LEADERSHIP

Leadership at Tanamakoon: Guiding, Caring, and Inspiring

At Tanamakoon, leadership is not just a title; it’s a commitment to nurturing, guiding, and inspiring our campers. Our counselors, the heart and soul of our camp, embody this ethos every day.

Selection Process: Our counselors are handpicked for their exceptional leadership qualities and genuine dedication to young people. Many of them are former Tanamakoon campers themselves, chosen not only for their skills but also for their passion for making a difference in the lives of others.

Experience and Dedication: With a minimum age requirement of 18, our counselors bring a wealth of experience and maturity to their roles. The average age exceeds this minimum, ensuring a seasoned and responsible team. Each counselor is carefully selected to maintain a counselor-to-camper ratio of 1:3, ensuring personalized attention and support. For our younger campers, this ratio is even higher, with one counselor for every two campers.

Beyond Counselors: In addition to our dedicated female counseling staff, we have a team of qualified medical professionals including a doctor and nurse. We also enlist the expertise of canoe trip guides and maintenance staff, each chosen for their skills, warmth, and conscientiousness.

Commitment to Safety: Above all, our staff members are committed to providing a safe and secure environment for your daughter. Their top priority is ensuring the well-being and happiness of every camper entrusted to our care.

At Tanamakoon, leadership isn’t just about leading; it’s about fostering growth, creating memories, and shaping futures. Join us, and let our dedicated team inspire your daughter to reach new heights.
